Marriage Registration In Kenya — Procedure
If both bride and groom are Kenyans, here is what you will be required to do.
Requirements:
- Copies of IDs & coloured passport size photos.
- The 21-day notice fee of Ksh. 600.
- After the 21-day notice, if the wedding shall be conducted at the Registrar’s office a Ksh. 3,300 fee.
- Both parties present.
There are special requirements where the couple is unable to give the 21 days notice. The Registrar of Marriages has the discretion to waive the notice. In that case, the following will be required.
