Entrance Requirements
Candidate for admission must have satisfied the University’s general admission criteria, in addition to which they must also have attained the required minimum grades at the KCSE examination in the subjects shown below;
English or Kiswahili
Physics or Physical Science
Mathematics
History and Government
or Geography
or Social Education and Ethics
or Building Construction
or Art and Design/ Drawing & Design
or Drawing and Design

Candidates shall be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Architecture degree in the School of Architecture and Built Environment in the following categories:
KCSE Candidates
The basic admissions requirement shall be the minimum entry requirements set for entry into the public universities, which is at least an average grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
In addition, candidates are expected to have performed well in the following cluster of subjects in KCSE examinations, but at any rate shall have obtained at least a grade of C+ in each of the cluster subjects:

A-Levels or Equivalent
Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) principal passes in Mathematics and Physics and a subsidiary level pass in Chemistry with a credit pass in English at O-Level.
TEP Diploma or Equivalent
Candidates with a TIVET (KNEC) Diploma in Architecture of the Technical University of Kenya or an equivalent qualification
Diploma of Technology in Architecture (Dip Tech Arch) or Equivalent
Candidates with a Diploma of Technology in Architecture (Dip Tech Arch) of the Technical University of Kenya or an equivalent qualification
Bachelor of Technology in Architecture (B Tech Arch) or Equivalent
Candidates with a Bachelor of Technology in Architecture (B Tech Arch) of the Technical University of Kenya or an equivalent qualification
